A113 is actually a classroom number. Not just any classroom number. It is a classroom in The Californian Institute of the Arts, also known as CalArts, where students studied graphic design and character animation. Famous alumni include animator Pete Docter, John Lasseter, the chief creative officer at Pixar, and Brad Bird, an animator and screenwriter who worked on many Pixar movies, as well as the Warner Bros animated feature "The Iron Giant". CalArts alumni have an in-joke of including the classroom number somewhere within their animated features.

A113 and Pixar

Toy Story was the first full length Pixar movie to feature A113. It appears on the licence plate of the minivan that Andy's mother drives. In the sequel, Toy Story 2, A113 is the number of one of the flights announced at the airport. In Toy Story 3, we see the number on the licence plate of the car again.
